ENERGY EFFICIENCY

According to the U.S. Dept of Energy, homes and commercial buildings account for 40% of the energy consumption in the United States. Americans spend $2,000 annually on energy bills, with $200 to $400 potentially wasted due to drafts, air leaks around openings, and outdated heating and cooling systems. By addressing these issues with energy efficiency upgrades, you can save money and enjoy a more comfortable home or business environment.

4CORE assists with two energy-efficiency programs geared toward helping homeowners and business owners reduce their energy usage and save money.

CLEAN TRANSPORTATION

Did you know motor vehicle trips account for 39% of greenhouse gas emissions in Durango?

Supporting regional residents and businesses in their journey to zero-emission vehicles is a key mission for 4CORE and aligns with Colorado’s ambitious goal of 940,000 EVs by 2030. Through strategic partnerships with state organizations, 4CORE provides invaluable assistance and education on EV adoption, charging station installations, electric school buses, and fleet transitions.

Additionally, 4CORE partners with the Colorado Energy Office to bring free eBikes and eTrikes to income-qualified adults 55 years or older. This innovative zero-emission transportation program not only provides an eBike or eTrike to qualifying participants, but it also provides operational training, safety education, and accessories that make eBike travel safe and convenient.

FOUR CORNERS CLIMATE FUND

The Four Corners Climate Fund is an innovative method for individuals and businesses to offset their carbon footprint, reducing their GHG impact by contributing to a fund that provides beneficial electrification upgrades to income-qualified residents. This fund will be used to sponsor grants for local low-to-moderate income households for the installation of beneficial energy efficiency upgrades, thereby reducing their carbon footprint and saving hundreds of dollars in utility costs annually.

Our climate fund program helps you reduce your carbon footprint by investing in local renewable energy projects. By offsetting your emissions, you can contribute to a cleaner environment and support sustainable initiatives in the Four Corners region.
