Archuleta County Minimize
The Recycling Center accepts tin and aluminum cans, corrugated cardboard, all colors of glass (mixed ok), mixed paper (no phone books), #1, and #2 plastic.

Location: Pagosa Transfer Station, two (2) miles south on County Road 500.

Hours: 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday through Sunday. Closed Monday.

La Plata County Minimize

Bayfield Convenience Center accepts:
clear, green, and brown glass, aluminum cans, cardboard, newspaper, waste oils, and automobile batteries

Marvel Convenience Center accepts:
clear, green, and brown glass, and aluminum cans

Durango Area Centers accept mixed papers, corrugated cardboard, mixed cans, and separated glass at the following locations:

  • Durango Recycling Center, 710 Tech Center Dr (plastic bottles accepted here)
  • Behind the North Main City Market, 3100 block of East 2nd Ave
  • Fort Lewis College Physical Plant, 1000 Rim Dr

San Juan Citizens Alliance recycles:

Items can be dropped off in the front entry at First National Bank of Durango, 259 West 9th Street, or our office at 1022-1/2 Main Ave., Durango (above  Carvers).  We can also arrange for items to be picked up at your location.

Montezuma County Minimize

ECOrtez accepts glass, mixed paper, cardboard, and aluminum beverage cans. 

The ECOrtez program consists of weekly curbside collection service and drop-off at 110 West Progress Circle, in the Industrial Park next to the City Service Center.

Four Corners Recycling Initiative accepts mixed paper (newspaper and newspaper supplements, white paper, all colored paper, junk mail, phone books, magazines, and catalogs), corrugated cardboard, and mixed steel (tin) cans and aluminum cans.

Location: To reach the drop off center, head NE out of Town, right at the fork, 0.5 miles on the left hand side of the road

Hours: Wednesday and Saturday, 10 AM- 6 PM
