Weatherizing Your Home Minimize
What is Weatherization?

Weatherization means making cost-effective, energy efficient improvements and upgrades to your home. These measures reduce energy use, reduce utility bills, and increase the comfort of your home year-round.

Weatherization improvements can include:
  • Home energy evaluation
  • Insulation in attics, walls, and crawlspaces
  • Sealing air leaks
  • Storm windows
  • Furnace safety testing
  • Furnace replacement
  • Refrigerator replacement

Multifamily Housing Weatherization Minimize

4CORE Program:

Multifamily buildings with individually heated units (one furnace per unit or electric baseboard heat) may qualify for 4CORE's Weatherization Program. Call 970-259-1919 for more information.

Energy Outreach Colorado:

Multifamily buildings that are heated by a single boiler may qualify for weatherization through Energy Outreach Colorado (EOC).  Building owners or managers should call EOC on behalf of the property if they meet the following eligibility requirements:

  1. Low-income housing property (at least 50% of occupants are at or below 200% Federal Poverty Level)
  2. 5+ units in the building (no duplexes, triplexes or quads)
  3. Buildings must be heated by a single boiler.

Visit the EOC web site where property owners can get on the list for next year’s funding.
